Data Collection Process
1. Automated Daily Collection (2 AM UTC)
- Scan Companies House for ownership changes
- Monitor news sources for exit announcements
- Check company websites and social media
- Track executive job changes on LinkedIn
2. AI Enhancement
- Validate collected data for consistency
- Fill missing information using contextual analysis
- Generate confidence scores for all estimates
- Create daily summaries and insights
3. Manual Verification
- Review high-value exits manually
- Verify against multiple sources
- Contact parties when possible
- Update records with confirmed data
Classification System
Exit Types:
- Acquisition: Full company purchase
- Merger: Combination of equals
- IPO: Public listing
- Asset Sale: Partial sale of business units

We track exits where:
- Primary business is PropTech/ConTech
- Exit value >£1M (or strategic importance)
- UK-connected (HQ, operations, or buyer)
- Occurred after 2015
Updates & Corrections
- Data updated daily at 2 AM UTC
- Corrections accepted via data@proptech-exits.ianyeo.com
- Historical revisions tracked
- Change log maintained
